The ofcvom website indicates these are illegal in the UK and other web info says they must CE approved and one UK supplier suggested that if service provider did not object then you would be OK! So then tried a unit from Mobilerepeater.co.uk - was a gift from a close freind - support suggested that the warenttee was invalidated because I cut the plug of the end of the supplied antenna cable so could get through a hole in the wall then fitted the spare plug they supplied for this purpose. On 28/09/2011 considerably unimpressed! I wonder what they will think of next?? !

Mountfield, in my opinion, seem to be a bunch of charlatans. They took payment online from me for a substantial order (the Mountfield Mowers payment page redirects to a site called atggp.co.uk, which seems to consist of one, unpopulated webpage, which should have set the alarm bells ringing), then told me that they could not fufill the order a few days later, and still have not refunded me....

YOUR to blame, you purchased a Chinese engine and there is your problem in a nutshell, also you should purchase a mower from a mowerstore and not a useless *box* store.

The BEST lawnmower on the planet is a Harry, powered by a Briggs&Stratton donk, not only is it built like a tank, but picks up wet heavy grass better than any other, huge grass catcher and it also does a really fine job on the lawns.

I have had mine over 15+ years, and in the early days used it to pay my way through school as i did a few mowing rounds, must have mowed 100's of acres with it!

Its the Ferrari of mowers!

BEST dang mower on the planet, END-OF-STORY!

Cheers

Re, Mountfield mowers at Sheds (B&Q ). Mountfield is part of the GGP group, it is just a name. You can buy a mountfield made in Sweden, Italy, China etc it all comes down to the price you pay if you buy a buget Mountfield from the sheds it will have a engine made in china fitted to it and after you have handed over your money you might get a couple of years out of it. It is the same as the petrol hedge cutters sold by the sheds but with a mounfield name on them and a made in China sticker on the machine, you can see by the quality they are not paying more than £35 to £40 for each unit but selling them on offer at £140. You use they 2 or 3 times and they pack up, If you buy a Mountfield from a Garden machinery dealer it won't have a engine made in china fitted because the dealers have had enough problems with the fuel systems, recoil assemblies, fuel tank splitting etc and in some cases have given up selling Mounfield machines or only sell the machines with a Honda or Briggs & Stratton engine but not at £99 or £125 it is like anything you get what you pay for.

Hi guys,
Have been looking on into buying a dual-band system for use at home (would like it if it could do 3G as well, but hey-ho!)
However, I came across a stumbling block for 2 reasons:
1) Kit like this must be CE approved for use in europe
2) It appears to be illegal to install and run one of these repeaters within the UK!!! Allegedly upto £5k fine and 51 weeks in prison!! WTF?
Link to OFCOM website:

So what to do?
